A minimalist, industrial design, the two renovated lobbies of 114 West 41st Street are distinctly modern additions to this 100 year old building. West of Bryant Park, 114 W 41st is a prime commercial space, as convenient as it is historic. Both the main entry on 41st Street and its second entrance on 40th Street are characterized by exposed steel, wood slats and plaster features.
A new rolled steel desk is particularly avant-garde, and markedly unique in a midtown landscape dominated by glass and polished marble. The lobbies maintain their aesthetic relationship to the building, and to the surrounding Bryant Park area, while breathing new life into the space.
