101 West End Avenue

101 West End Avenue is a twin-tower residential building in the classic Upper West Tradition. What sets this building apart is the interior courtyard bridging the two towers. Carrying the exterior material palette inside, the light brick walls offer a visual connection to the towers. MdeAS used bright and reflective materials together with a carefully crafted lighting program to maintain a bright and airy appearance. The result is an inviting welcome to this premiere residential building.

350 West Broadway

Together with interior architect William T. Georgis, MdeAS sought to design living spaces which combined the aura of refined uptown living with the downtown flavor that SoHo boasts. Each full-floor residence is directly connected to the vibrant neighborhood through private outdoor space; however, by integrating translucent glass in the carefully-detailed curtain wall, a comfortable level of privacy is maintained. Creating a sense of arrival, the resident's entrance is clad in hand-chiseled Cold Spring granite, a deliberate contrast to the transparency of the surrounding retail storefronts.

Santa Monica Boulevard

MdeAS' design for this site in the Century City area of Los Angeles features an iconic residential tower, a low-rise amenities building and a green-screened parking garage with landscaped roof. Taking advantage of the stunning views of the Hollywood Hills afforded by the site, the tower is positioned and shaped to maximize views. The distinctive low-rise amenities building houses the health club, screening rooms and lounge spaces in a sloping round form designed to contrast the strong rectilinear mass of the tower.
