PROJECT / RESIDENTIAL
350 West Broadway
Together with SLCE, MdeAS sought to design living spaces that combined the aura of refined uptown living with the downtown flavor that SoHo boasts. Each full-floor residence is directly connected to the vibrant neighborhood through private outdoor space. Integrating translucent glass in the carefully-detailed curtain wall, a comfortable level of privacy is maintained. Creating a sense of arrival, the resident's entrance is clad in hand-chiseled Cold Spring granite, a deliberate contrast to the transparency of the surrounding retail storefronts.
The facade features a glass and champagne aluminum curtainwall balanced by strong horizontal elements. The residences feature a wide variety of the most luxurious materials and amenities, combining downtown loft living with Park Avenue-inspired layouts.

The Profile
We were presented with the challenge of arbitrating between a 5-story structure on one side and a two-story garage on the other. The profile on West Broadway transitions from high to low, naturally forming a retail component with the residential tower rising behind with the greatest setback possible.
