A Week in the Life of Intermediate Designer Carmen Johnson

Carmen Johnson is an Intermediate Designer at MdeAS Architects, where she has worked on the redevelopment of Penn 2 for the past two years. The project has provided her with experience in new construction and major renovation across multiple programs, while negotiating a shared site with major New York City landmarks Penn Station and Madison Square Garden.

She received her M.Arch II from Cornell University in 2017 with a concentration in Architecture + Discourse. She is passionate about expanding the reach of architecture through language and community engagement.
