MdeAS Named in NYC’s Top 5 Architects for Alteration Projects by The Real Deal

MdeAS is ranked as the 5th most active architect for alteration projects in New York City!

Research conducted by The Real Deal was based on permits issued with the New York City Department of Buildings between June 1, 2023 and June 1, 2024.

Though New York City has seen a recent slowdown in development, there continues to be a demand for commercial owners to bring tenants back to the office. Strategic improvements to commercial assets such as the introduction of amenities, outdoor spaces, and lobby upgrades make a substantial impact on leasing. There is also rising interest in office-to-residential conversions as realization of such projects becomes more feasible with zoning reforms like the City of Yes for Housing Opportunity.

Ultimately, we have seen that office buildings benefit from including more of the comforts of home, while residential buildings benefit from offering more co-working space and work from home flexibility.
